Rust Modern is a studio practice focused on sculptural furniture and architectural work in wood and metal.
Each piece is designed and built by hand, with an emphasis on proportion, material honesty, and long-term durability. The work draws from modernist and architectural traditions, while remaining grounded in craft and use.
I work primarily in walnut and steel, allowing form, joinery, and surface to speak without excess. Some pieces are restrained and minimal; others explore carving and movement. In all cases, the goal is the same: to create objects that feel intentional, balanced, and built to last.
Rust Modern accepts a limited number of commissioned projects each year, ranging from one-off furniture pieces to integrated residential and commercial work. Collaboration is central to the process, whether working directly with clients or alongside designers and architects.
