Commissioned Work
Rust Modern accepts a limited number of commissioned projects each year.
Work is developed collaboratively, with an emphasis on architectural form, material honesty, and long-term durability. Projects range from one-off furniture pieces to larger, integrated works for residential and commercial interiors.
How Commissions Work
1. Initial Inquiry

We begin with a conversation about the project, context, timeline, and intent. Reference images, drawings, or general direction are helpful, but not required.
2. Design Development
​
Once aligned, the design is developed through sketches and discussion, with attention to proportion, material selection, and how the piece will live in its space.
3. Fabrication
​
All work is built in-house, with care given to joinery, surface treatment, and long-term durability. Clients are updated at key stages throughout the build.
4. Delivery
​
Completed work is carefully prepared for delivery or shipping. Installation and placement considerations are discussed in advance to ensure a smooth handoff.
